Norman's dad, Joe, was not active in the church when the family was young so this looks like it could have been a Sunday with Alice and the kids all ready for church and Joe headed off to the service station. But, all I remember of Joe is that he was very strong in his testimony and activity in the church. When Norman was 14, his family got sealed in the Mesa Temple and from then on, Joe was "all in". Joe and Alice raised a family of good, faithful children and my Dad had a rather wonderful childhood.
